So, I've been looking for a cheap readio on ebay, but couldn't find anything for my low budget. Went to a local pawn shop and scord Yaseu FT-60, which sells on ebay for $180 and up for $80!!

Now I gotta get a licence and figure out how to use it.

Started looking into PTT and mics, any of you have any experience with those throat mics? Are they any good, would they be useful for our purpose?

How about "Prevail"?

Supposed to be every 10 min but we usually are busy and don't have a clock to go by. Also want to keep chatter to min. Just announce every so often when talking. Saying "mobile" also lets operators know you can't keep track of time or call signs.
